Description: This project consists a 32-home project in New Orleans, which is funded through the FEMA Alternative Housing Pilot Program (AHPP), administered by the Louisiana Recovery Authority, and developed by Baton Rouge-based Cypress Realty Partners. Block will build 24 two-bedroom/two-bathroom units and eight three-bedroom/two-bathroom units totaling more than 32,000 square feet. The cottages are designed to be permanent housing structures and to follow the precedents of local vernacular architecture

Description: This project consists of the new Construction of 104 townhome units.  The units are two-stories, and they are situated in 4-plex and 6-plex buildings. Work includes wood-framed construction with a mixed facade, consisting of cementious siding, stucco and stone.  This project is located in Leesburg, Florida.

Katrina Cottage - Fields Subdivision

Project:  Fields Subdivision “Katrina Cottage” Project
Owner:  Cypress Realty Partners, LLC
Architect:  Looney Ricks Kiss, Architects, Inc.
Description: 34 total HUD houses in Lake Charles, LA.  The project contains different designs based around an economical design to promote lower income home purchases.  The design is unique in that the homes will be constructed out of metal studs in lieu of wood to promote homes less susceptible to hurricane damage. Also in an effort to promote hurricane-safe homes, the houses will be placed on two-foot brick piers, which are anchored into a concrete slab below. The interior of the houses will be equipped with laminate wood flooring, traditional residential cabinets, and fully furnished appliances in the kitchen.  Exterior finishes will be standard painted siding with a painted, treated porch and soffit. These houses are being built economically and sturdy.
